In her first year of Spanish studies at Melbourne University, Zoë felt a need for an organisation that aimed to provide opportunities for Spanish language students to engage with the Spanish speaking community in Melbourne. Zoë’s academic areas of interest are language and identity, student motivation and the factors that lead to sustained language learning.
As a student ambassador with the University Student Ambassador Leadership Program, Zoë participated in leadership training and gained valuable experience in developing projects with other students, which led to starting this not-for-profit organisation.
She has since been leading the ‘Co-operation 21’ Team towards becoming Australia’s best access point for Spanish education and integrating Spanish language learners with the Hispanic community.
